In 1951, G. William Meschter bought a shoebox full of index cards...

Meschter Insurance Group started life as a box of index cards. That's what G. William Meschter got when he bought Kep Tyson's insurance agency in Skippack, a village northwest of Philadelphia. Each card represented a client's policy details. Over the years, Meschter has insured families and businesses throughout the Delaware Valley.

This is our team today:

GEORGE W. MESCHTER

George is President of Meschter Insurance Group, and started out from a young age learning about the insurance business from his father. He went to Perkiomen Prep School. He studied business in college, and began working in the family business after graduation. Today he attends to the insurance needs of our larger Commercial accounts, and keeps us abreast of changes in the broader insurance industry. He is a founding member of The Premier Group, an insurance consortium. He also serves on local boards, including the Schwenkfelder Library, Harleysville Savings Bank and the Perkiomen Schoool disctrict. 

ANGIE COLLINS

Angie has worked in various positions at Meschter and has had a role in the company for the past 25 years. She is the first person to greet callers and visitors, and works to help with client accounts in Personal Lines as well. Angie is a superb cook and often goes on Chesapeake sailing trips with her family.

GINA STULL

Gina began her insurance career in Florida, and came back to work in her native Pennsylvania. She has over 10 year’s insurance experience in the field, and is a licensed Personal Lines Customer Service Representative. She is very attentive to client needs and handles account with great efficiency. She knows how to shop around to get you a good deal. Gina has grandchildren who often come to the office, and a Beagle.

DAWN PALEY

Dawn works with client services and sales for Personal Lines, and has been licensed in the field for over 10 years. She has balanced motherhood and insurance work superbly. Before coming to Meschter, she was a Personal Lines underwriter at Harleysville Insurance Company, which gives her tremendous depth of knowledge.

SUSAN MESCHTER

Sue grew up in Worcester, PA. She works with client services in Commercial Lines, and handles accounting and office management on a day-to-day basis. She is often a friendly voice on the telephone for clients who call in with various questions. She’s involved with a Presbyterian soup kitchen outside of the office, is a keen golfer, and is highly devoted to dogs, especially rescue Beagles.

G. ANDREW MESCHTER

Drew works with business owners in Commercial Lines. He grew up in Collegeville and studied in Pennsylvania, England and Germany. He was not allowed to get involved with the family business until he cut his teeth doing other jobs. He worked at the Vanguard Group and then deployed to Iraq with the PA National Guard. After coming back as a veteran, it was decided that he was ready to get involved with insurance. Drew is into Crossfit, a physical fitness community that is active on the Internet, and he devotes much time to the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry.

THOMAS CHUNG

Tom Chung has worked with Meschter to help us serve Korean-speaking business owners in the greater Philadelphia area. Koreans are superb entrepreneurs, and Tom operates as a Property and Casualty Agent for Meschter Insurance Agency. Tom also operates his own financial services firm. He grew up in Pennsylvania, and has family in PA, Japan and Korea. His dead-pan sense of humor entertains everyone he meets
